OVERVIEW
About Pet Safety Nets
Pet safety nets are fitted across balconies and windows to help keep cats and small dogs away from open ledges and edges.
Cats in particular are able to fit through narrow railing gaps or jump onto balcony ledges, which can be a concern in upper-floor apartments. A pet safety net is fitted across the balcony or window opening with a mesh size small enough to stop a cat or small dog from squeezing through, while still allowing the space to be used normally. The netting is checked for any gaps along the frame or where it meets the railing, since these are the points a pet is most likely to test.
